At the end of the summer term, we can look back on a wonderful year for fundraising. Thanks to everyone who supported the various PTA events and activities, we have raised over £18,000 this year. This means that in addition to our regular funding of visits, activities and educational trips for the children, we have been able to donate a whopping £11,000 to the Tablet Fund, taking us over the halfway mark to our £20,000 goal.
The Chair of the School Governors recently sent a letter to the PTA expressing the governors' appreciation for the contribution that the parents and carers make to the school via the various PTA activities. You can read the letter here.
The PTA diary for the 2015/16 school year is already starting to fill up with discos, Christmas and Summer Fairs, a Race Night, Chocolate Bingo, a Quiz Night, and of course a welcome return visit from Happy's Circus (see our events page for details).
All parents and carers are invited to come along to the Annual General Meeting of the PTA on 5 October. We will be voting in the Committee for the coming year 2015/16. If you are interested in joining the committee, then please register your interest by emailing the PTA (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least 2 weeks before the meeting. We particularly encourage new parents and carers to the school to come along, see what we do, and take part. Last year's committee included Reception class parents, so please take this opportunity to get involved.
Finally, we wish all of you a very pleasant summer holiday, and look forward to seeing you in September.
Thanks to everyone who supported the PTA Wild West Summer Fair on Saturday 20 June. With your generous support, the Fair raised over £6,500, which was fantastic. Many of you have been kind enough to give us very positive feedback on the new format for the fair. After a well-earned rest, the dedicated Fair organisers are already starting to plan next year's Fair!
